Educational visit to Landrover & Cadbury

Business students had an action packed day visiting Landrover and Cadbury, Birmingham.

After an early start our students were taken into the heart of a world leading vehicle manufacturer. Students had a tour of the factory from guides with a combined experience of over 75 years of work at Landrover. They were taken around the 300 acre site and witnessed the 90 second process times for each part of the vehicles. The saw the robots, welding and final car assembly. The guides were excellent and gave the students an overview of the business and how one individual can effect the profit and success of the whole production line. The guides also gave students details of the £700, 000, 000 that Tata are making to the site.

We then drove to Cadbury where students toured the packaging factory and could sample many forms of Cadbury chocolate. Our day finished with an informative talk for our students from a business manager who tailored his talk to the countries of our students. He gave an overview of Cadbury, the recent changes and how Cadbury features in the global market with Kraft food.
