Students find out all about the Lancashire Business School
Today students had a unique opportunity to talk to three senior lecturers from UCLan's Lancashire Business School.
The senior staff from the top modern university and top UK modern business school spoke to our students exclusively about the courses that they will progress onto. Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Public Relations (see their video here) and Business Management were all discussed.
Students were told about the course content, the assessment methods and the small group teaching that they would benefit from. UCLan's award winning career service, study skills help and UK leading international student support were highlighted as particular benefits of studying at the Lancashire Business School after studying at UCLan FoundationCampus. Work placements and top employer graduate recruitment were highlighted as a success of the Business School. Students get opportunities to have learn about applying for jobs and have practise interviews with top employers as part of their degree. Graduates of the Finance and Accounting degrees gain professional exemption from internationally recognised financial qualifications such as CIMA and ACCA (depending on their options taken).
Students were then given an opportunity to talk individually to the course leaders and have their questions answered.
Students then went on a tour of some of the business school facilities including an undergraduate run marketing/public relations business, the first of its kind in the UK!

Check out our photographs from the beginning of our International week. We started with an International Buffet where the students brought in traditional foods from their home countries which consisted of pastries, cakes, chicken wraps and much more.
We then also had a Spanish lesson which was conducted by our very own English Teacher Samantha Meehan!
The student had a fantastic afternoon...there are still more langague lessons to be held during the course of the week and an international film festival!
