Alumni students give advice and share their successes with current students

Today alumni students from our FoundationCampus shared their experiences with our current students. The students are now in the second year of their degree at The University of Central Lancashire's Business School and are studying BA (Hons) International Business and Management and Business Studies BA (Hons).

They mentioned how much they enjoyed the supportive, social environment of our campus. Florence said that she made her best friends her at UCLan FouncationCampus. Thisari mentioned that the support he gained in making presentations helped him achieve in his first year at University and he is more confident in going onto employment. He has secured a year long industry placement at Disneyland.

Our alumni gave useful advice: to manage your time effectively, to use the library and get involved in volunteering activities.

Induction Week

The first week of term has been as exciting as usual.  We have had 70 new students arrive and there have been 3 trips already:  Bowling, Blackpool (with fish and chips) and the Trafford Centre in Manchester for shopping.  It is not always fun in induction week of course - students have also registered with the university, had talks from the Police and the Fire Service, been introduced to their course leaders and learnt about their visa responsibilities.  If you have any questions about the content of our induction week or what students should do before they arrive - just send an email.

Welcome to UCLan FoundationCampus
